Terms of Service

Last updated:

1. Object and Definitions

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "ToS") govern access to and use of the IgnitionRAGplatform (hereinafter the "Service"), published by IgnitionAI, a sole proprietorship operated by Salim Laimeche, based in Troyes, France.

By accessing the Service, the user accepts these ToS without reservation. If you act on behalf of an organization, you declare that you have the authority to bind it.

Definitions

  • "Service": the IgnitionRAG platform accessible at ignitionrag.com, including the API, SDKs, widgets, workflows, and RAG agents.
  • "User": any individual or legal entity with an account on the platform.
  • "Organization": legal entity associated with one or more user accounts on the platform.
  • "User Content": documents, data, text, images, and other files uploaded or generated by the user via the Service.
  • "Credits": usage units included with a subscription or purchased as a top-up.

2. Registration and Account

To access the Service, the user must create an account with accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. The user is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials and all activity performed under their account.

Registration is open to adults (18 years or older) or minors duly authorized by their legal guardian. IgnitionAI reserves the right to refuse or terminate an account without justification.

3. Plans and subscriptions

Solo and Team SaaS plans, monthly and annual prices, seats and included credits are listed on the pricing page. SaaS trials and purchases remain closed until opening is announced. Existing contracts and licenses keep their terms and are not automatically migrated to these plans.

Planned SaaS subscriptions are monthly or annual, automatically renewed, and billed in euros (EUR) excluding taxes. Payment is processed by Stripe.

Price changes: IgnitionAI reserves the right to modify prices with 30 days' email notice. Continued subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4. AI configuration

In the SaaS offering, IgnitionRAG manages AI configuration. Users do not supply AI keys and consumption is accounted for in credits under the subscribed plan. Connected external services may require separate subscriptions. Configuration for licensed deployments follows the applicable contract.

5. Ownership of User Data

The user retains full ownership of their User Content. IgnitionAI acquires no intellectual property rights over documents, data, or outputs generated by the user's agents.

The user grants IgnitionAI a non-exclusive, worldwide, time-limited license to store, process, and display User Content solely for the purposes of providing the Service.

The user warrants that they hold all necessary rights over the Content they upload and that it does not infringe any third-party rights (intellectual property, third-party personal data, etc.).

Data confidentiality: IgnitionAI undertakes not to access User Content except for technical purposes strictly necessary for Service operation (support, debugging upon express request, security).

6. Acceptable Use

The user agrees not to use the Service to:

  • Generate unlawful, defamatory, or third-party-infringing content
  • Circumvent technical limitations or quota mechanisms
  • Scrape, extract, or massively reproduce Service data or infrastructure
  • Compromise the security of the Service or its other users
  • Infringe IgnitionAI's or third parties' intellectual property rights
  • Process sensitive personal data (health, political opinions, etc.) without appropriate safeguards

7. Availability and Service Levels

IgnitionAI strives to maintain the Service available 24/7. No availability commitment (SLA) is guaranteed on Free, Starter, and Pro plans. An SLA is available on Team and Enterprise plans (defined in the specific contract).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law:

  • IgnitionAI shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, data loss, or business interruption
  • IgnitionAI's total liability is limited to amounts paid by the user during the 12 months preceding the triggering event
  • IgnitionAI is not responsible for the quality, accuracy, or compliance of outputs generated by third-party LLM models
  • IgnitionAI is not responsible for outages or interruptions of third-party services (Clerk, Stripe, Qdrant, LLM providers, OVH)

The Service is provided "as-is." IgnitionAI does not warrant that the Service will meet all specific requirements of the user.

9. IgnitionAI Intellectual Property

The IgnitionRAG Community Edition code is distributed under the MIT license — see the repository LICENSE file for the applicable terms. The SDKs (@ignitionai/sdk, Python SDK) remain distributed under the MIT license as well.

IgnitionAI trademarks, logos, trade names, marketing content, visual identity assets, and hosted services remain the property of IgnitionAI unless stated otherwise.

10. Termination

Termination by the User

The user may cancel their subscription at any time from their account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. In the planned SaaS offering, new AI work stops at the end of the paid term and documents remain readable. This release includes no automatic document deletion. Licensed contracts retain their own terms.

Termination by IgnitionAI

IgnitionAI may suspend or terminate a user's access in cases of:

  • Violation of these ToS
  • Non-payment after reminder
  • Proven fraudulent or unlawful activity
  • Decision to discontinue the Service (minimum 90 days' notice)

11. Amendments to ToS

IgnitionAI reserves the right to amend these ToS. Substantial changes are notified by email with 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after this period constitutes acceptance of the amended ToS. If you disagree, you may terminate your account.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These ToS are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, the parties will endeavor to find an amicable resolution. Failing that, the dispute will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Troyes (Aube, France), except as otherwise required by mandatory law (particularly for consumers).

For users residing in the European Union, the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform is accessible at: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
